Winter
Volume 2
The Wildness
Within the algorithmic curations of world views, a winter is something which is also avoided, held at arm’s length. Yet if we let them, these seasonal changes can become regions where a deeper work can take place, both on and offline.
A wilderness can give us space to reconsider the systems in which we live.
Of the forever summer, forever growth, forever more, a winter says otherwise.
Instead, embraced as a reset and secure in the Earth’s cyclical dance, a winter, a wilderness, a wildness can become a wonderfully reenergising affirmation.
A place of retreat and refreshment as a season of restoration begins to breathe new life back into the world.
I come into the peace of wild things
Who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
