This body of work was shortlisted for the Creativepool 2017 Annual, featured on BBC Radio Leicester and also in local press.
Derek Jones
Derek began his career in 1953, working as an errand boy. His business, Derek Jones Butchers Ltd is now nearly 40 years old. It's longstanding reputation of sourcing quality local meat and great range of own made produce (including the most amazing sausages) is famous throughout the area.

Andrew McAvoy
The Haven Bakery was founded by chemist and teacher Andrew and his wife, Natalie in early 2015. Their vision was to provide Scalford, the village in which it is based, with a supply of fresh honest bread. The business has thrived and expanded, with the quality and variety of their bakery winning a wide following from businesses and individuals in the region.

Lucy Flint
Lucy Flint Jewellery is a contemporary silversmith business based in Melton Mowbray and Oakham. Originally trained as a Forensic Scientist, Lucy spent a number of years working in London before studying at the London Jewellery School. The business specialises in handmade, sterling silver jewellery inspired by nature and is made in their on-site workshop using traditional silversmithing techniques.

Robin Skailes
For more than three generations Stilton has been made at the Cropwell Bishop Creamery and Robin, along with his cousin Ben, now oversee the award winning business. Their wide ranging list of stockists include, Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, Selfridges and Waitrose but if you are in the area you can always pop into their lovely dairy shop at Cropwell Bishop.

Charlotte Clemons
From The Oak Tree design and manufacture a beautiful range of personalised oak giftware. From boot racks to chopping boards, Charlotte, her carpenter husband Sam, and their team of skilled craftsmen produce handmade engraved gifts to order.

Alan Hewson
Alan and his wife Jane run the award winning Belvoir Ridge Creamery from their farm near Eastwell in Leicestershire. Since beginning to produce their own cheeses (the amazing Rutland Slipcote and Colwick Cheese) with milk from their Red Poll and Blue Albion rare breeds, their creamery has gone from strength to strength. Awards have come thick and fast as have several TV appearences with Jamie Oliver, Jimmie Doherty and the BBC's Countryfile.

Sophie Cullumbine
Sophie's Flower Co was established in 2011 and has quickly built an enviable reputation, having won the East Midlands Wedding Florist of the Year consecutively for two years. Amongst other illustrious clients her business also supplies country hotels such as Stapleford Park and Langar Hall.
